Homework: Compare these two examples, from before and after Mozart's discover of the music of Johann Sebastian Bach (in 1782). How does the later music reflect the influence of Bach? How does it show the greater Romanticism of Mozart's later years?

  • Rest in Eternal Peace (Requiem Aeternam)
  • Day of Wrath (Dies Irae) - [Here's an interesting "flash mob" performance of it]
  • "Weeping" (Lacrimosa)
